Healthy Tennessee, a non-profit organization founded by Vanderbilt Trauma Surgeon Dr. Manny Sethi, begins its third year of providing free health fairs to Tennesseans by announcing a health fair in Jackson, Tennessee on Saturday, January 24th starting at 11am at the historic Oman Arena.<\/p>\n Dozens of physicians, nurses, and healthy lifestyle companies will be available to provide free screenings, educational conversations with doctors, free products and lots of encouragement to the citizens of Jackson.\u00a0 \u201cOur primary goal is to connect health care providers with our fellow Tennesseans in order to help everyone live healthier lives. Many people make New Years resolutions to lose weight and get healthy \u2014\u00a0we are proud and excited to be part of that commitment in the great city of Jackson\u201d, stated Dr. Manny.<\/p>\n Some of the free health screenings include blood pressure checks, BMI (body mass index), blood sugar screenings, eye exams for glaucoma, retina exams, hearing exams and diabetes risk assessments.<\/p>\n Jackson Mayor Jerry Gist, stated, \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to have Healthy Tennessee in town to provide free health screenings through their health fair.
